CASINO ROYALE II SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEDIATORS AND ADR PROVIDERS

Who is FAIR?

The Foundation for Advocacy, Inclusion & Resources (FAIR), a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the plaintiffs' employment bar and raising public consciousness about employment rights. For the past 10 years we have been doing just that through fostering dialogue and conversations with all viewpoints represented to build a stronger and more informed legal community, creating and funding over 100 fellowships for law students, 6 post-graduate fellowships, organizing Diversity Leadership Summits in Northern and Southern California (open to both the defense and plaintiffs’ employment bar), and employment rights workshops.  You can read more about each of these programs at: www.fair-foundation.org. Please know that without FAIR’s fellowships/scholarships, many diverse law students, who generally graduate from law school with a crushing amount of student loan debt (the average law school student now graduates with $120,000 in student loans), may never have the opportunity to pursue their dreams to work at a firm fighting for employees’ rights.

How can I help?

CASINO ROYALE II, FAIR's primary fundraiser, will conveniently take place during CELA’s 32nd Annual Conference in San Jose, on Friday evening, October 18, 2019 at 6:00pm. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase select mediators to the CELA community and your company's commitment to diversity and inclusion!

This will also be a great opportunity to connect with CELA members, have fun mingling to music, with cocktails and plenty of chips for gambling and winning valuable prizes! All while making it possible for FAIR (CELA’s sister non-profit organization) to continue its important work.

HERE ARE THE ESSENTIALS OF WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND HOW TO BECOME A SPONSOR OF CASINO ROYALE II:

Mark Rudy Mediator's Match.

In 2013, a generous donation to FAIR by prominent employment law mediator Mark Rudy (San Francisco, CA) kick-started an inspiring campaign.  Many employment mediators around California followed his lead to donate a  half day’s mediation proceeds to FAIR each year, to support the organization's diversity efforts and annual programs.  We at FAIR greatly appreciate Mark and his leadership in this arena.  Today, we call this movement the Mark Rudy Mediator’s Match.  Let CELA members know that you are a mediator/arbitrator who supports diversity initiatives within the plaintiff’s bar by making a commitment to participate in the Mark Rudy Mediator’s Match!

Extra Credit to ADR Providers.

ADR providers can also become a sponsor to let CELA members know that you support CELA’s diversity initiatives by either: 1) Committing FIVE (5) of your mediators to sign up for the Mark Rudy Mediator's Match, or 2) Making a donation of $10,000 to FAIR.  Either of these methods of donation will provide you with the following:

  • Recognition of your ADR Program as a Leader in its commitment to Diversity and Inclusion on a slide show playing throughout the CELA Conference
  • Recognition of your Sponsorship in the CELA Annual Conference Brochure
  • Verbal Recognition at the Fundraiser
  • Recognition at the Fundraiser on our Slideshow
  • $750 Chips per mediator to play at Casino Royale
  • Link to your ADR Program on FAIR's website highlighting you as a leader in the employment law arena on issues of promoting and supporting diversity in the legal community.
