FAIR EJF Christina Ochoa recognized in UC Berkeley Law's Student Summer Work Series

Christina Ochoa, one of FAIR’s 2025 Employee Justice Fellows, was recently profiled in UC Berkeley Law’s Student Summer Work Series. The feature highlights her commitment to advancing workers’ rights and her impactful summer clerkship experience.

A Summer of Advocacy

As a rising 3L, Ochoa clerked with Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C., a plaintiff-side employment firm in Oakland. She gained hands-on experience in all stages of litigation, from client intake and depositions to drafting motions and conducting legal research. Her work on an FLSA case in federal court, where she drafted arguments opposing a motion to dismiss, underscored her ability to apply legal theory in service of real clients.

Ochoa’s dedication extends beyond her summer clerkship. At Berkeley, she has served as co-president of the Plaintiffs’ Law Association and contributed to the Human Rights Clinic and other advocacy efforts. Her record reflects a long-standing passion for social justice that began during her undergraduate years at Cornell.

FAIR congratulates her on this recognition and looks forward to her continued leadership in the fight for employee justice.
